Evi Abeler quietly peeks at the world through her camera. A series of photographs trace views of everyday life. Focusing on loneliness and alienation of subjects and places in her environment.
Evi recieved a MFA in Studio Art in 2006 from The City College of New York, NY and holds a BFA in Photography, Electronic Design and Multimedia from the University of Osnabrück, Germany/CCNY, NY. She was a resident artist at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in 2005. Recently her photography was shown at Kenkeleba Gallery, NY, The Henry Street Settlement, NY, and at the Atlantic Center for the Arts, FL.
Evi was born and raised in Germany and has been a resident of New York City since 2000.
